This year my visit to Tristan got off with a very good start. The sail from Cape Town to Tristan was on the maiden voyage of the SA Agulhas II, and what a swanky ship it really is.

2: NEW DIRECTOR FOR OVERSEAS TERRITORIES - Tristan (Government) - 20.10.2012
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has announced that the new Director for the Overseas Territories is Peter Hayes, who took up office on 15 October 2012, replacing Colin Roberts, who is taking up another Diplomatic Service posting.

3: COUNCILLOR GREEN REPORTS ON COMMONWEALTH CONFERENCE - Tristan (Government) - 20.10.2012
Councillor Tony Green returned to the Island last week, having attended the 58th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Sri Lanka and the EU-OCT forum in Greenland

4: Shipping News and Fishing Update (15/10/12) - Tristan (Fisheries) - 15.10.2012
The MV Edinburgh is due to depart Tristan on Tuesday the 16th October (weather permitting), she had been fishing at the Tristan group since her arrival on the 30th August.
