Representatives from the South Atlantic Islands of St. Helena, Tristan da Cunha and the Falkland Islands are attending thee UK Overseas Territories Consultative Council meeting in London this week.
The S.A. Agulhas arrived back at Tristan on Sunday 5th October, after completing her work at Gough Island. Returning passengers' luggage, and nine bags of GPO mail was taken to the vessel by boat at 10.00am, and the passengers themselves embarked at 15.00 on Monday 6th October.
In contrast to the very changeable weather (both before and after) the morning of Sunday, 21st September 2008 was the start of a glorious sunny day, in every sense of the term.
Because this was the day when baby Calvin Patrick Charles was to be baptized during the public mass in the Parish Church of St. Joseph's.
