When Flat Stanley left St. Clement’s Elementary School in St. Bernard, Ohio on the 5th of November 2003, no one knew that by the time he finished his travels, the paper cut out would be travelling to each of the South Atlantic British Overseas Territories. On the weekend of 30 April to 02 May 2004 the winds were favourable for the long awaited trip to Nightingale Island on the Island’s Longboats. Photo (c) James Glass (Tristan Times) The damaged shacks need to be repaired if any meaningful conservation work can be done on Nightingale Island.
