- The MV Edinburgh arrived from Cape Town on Thursday 1st May, which was a public holiday on Tristan.

 - The MV Edinburgh is due to depart Cape Town on Thursday the 24th April although she had to leave behind some bulk cargo, because she would not be able to discharge it at Tristan.

- 3: Joint Task Force Completes Repairs to Calshot Harbour - Tristan (Shipping/Freight) - 20.04.2008
 - A Joint Task Force (JTF) comprising military and civilian personel from the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Royal Fleet Auxiliary has completed a series of complex repair tasks to the harbour of one of the world's most isolated communities, Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic Ocean.

 - The MV Edinburgh arrived at Tristan on the evening of Thursday 6th February. Weather conditions were favorable, so the islanders took the opportunity to get as much cargo (including a car) off the vessel as possible.

 - The Tristan Administrator called a meeting with the Island Council on Thursday 28th February at 15:00hrs to meet Captain Paddy McAlpine, the Navy Captain in charge of Operation zest, together with Captain Peter Frame (Lyme Bay Skipper) and Major Mike Forster (OC Res) to brief them on the plan of operation over the next few weeks.
