- On Friday the 28th October, the HMS Clyde called in at Tristan on her way to South Africa, from the Falklands. She arrived at 0830 and departed at 1800.

- Vessels arriving at Tristan, during the last week have been hampered by bad weather.

- Due to extremely bad weather around Tristan, the MV Edinburgh has just managed to discharge her cargo today the 13th July, after leaving Cape Town two weeks ago.

 - On the early hours of Wednesday the 16th March, a message was received at Tristan from Cape Town that the bulk carrier Oliva had ran aground at Spinners Point, Nightingale Island.

 - The Black Rover on route to the Falkland Islands, from Simons Town South Africa, called in at Tristan on the 7th January, and departed late the same evening.
- 8: VITAL LIFELINE TO TRISTAN DA CUNHA TO BE REPAIRED AGAIN - Tristan (Shipping/Freight) - 20.11.2010
 - Calshot Harbour at Edinburgh of the Seven Seas, Tristan Da Cunha is to undergo emergency repairs in an effort to prevent the island from being cut off from its only access to outside supplies and help and for its residents regular visits of supply boats.

- The M/V Baltic Trader – a familiar name in the Falklands as well as Tristan – has replaced the M/V Kelso, a fishing boat that regularly fished around Tristan and carried passengers between the Island and Cape Town in South Africa.

 - Arriving on the Agulhas was a number of family members living in the UK who were visiting for the three weeks, scientific personnel, the dental team, and the Monsignor from the Falklands.

- The M.V. Edinburgh departed Cape Town on the 20th August for the beginning of the 2008/2009 fishing season, she arrived at Tristan on the 28th August, unloaded the cargo and departed for the fishing grounds, accompanied by Sea Fishery observer Rodney Green.

 - The MV Edinburgh finally departed Tristan on Wednesday 21st May, with Passengers and five bags of GPO Mail. Due to bad weather conditions here on Tristan, we were unable to get all our cargo ashore from MV Edinburgh, so most of it has gone back to Cape Town.

 - A Joint Task Force (JTF) comprising military and civilian personel from the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Royal Fleet Auxiliary has completed a series of complex repair tasks to the harbour of one of the world's most isolated communities, Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic Ocean.

 - The MV Edinburgh arrived at Tristan on the evening of Thursday 6th February. Weather conditions were favorable, so the islanders took the opportunity to get as much cargo (including a car) off the vessel as possible.

 - The Tristan Administrator called a meeting with the Island Council on Thursday 28th February at 15:00hrs to meet Captain Paddy McAlpine, the Navy Captain in charge of Operation zest, together with Captain Peter Frame (Lyme Bay Skipper) and Major Mike Forster (OC Res) to brief them on the plan of operation over the next few weeks.
