Fishing update

When we last reported on the lobster landings at Tristan, we were falling behind due to a spell of bad weather, however this has since changed due to a period of exceptionally good weather over the last week, and landings at the Tristan factory have beaten the landings for this time last year.

To date the balance of the 174mt quota set for Tristan stands at 77,785kgs, whereas this time last year the balance was 104,120kgs.  The eight days so far in November has landed 43,649kgs (25% of the TAC), averaging 5,456kgs per day.

The fishermen are optimistic that if they continue to get good weather they will have no trouble in landing TAC.
