Shipping News

Both fishing vessels Kelso and the Casablanca arrived at Tristan on the 16th July, however due to bad weather, no passengers or cargo have been landed.  The Casablanca has transferred her medical packages and GPO mail to the Kelso and has departed for the fishing grounds.  The Kelso remains in the lee of the island, and will wait for the harbour and sea conditions to moderate, so that the passengers can disembark.  The weather report indicates that this could only happen on the weekend or early next week.

After the cargo has been landed, the vessel will take onboard three motor fishing boats and start fishing the Tristan quota of 190mt, using the Kelso as the factory for processing the catch.
