Four people who have been closely involved with the four British islands in the South Atlantic met at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on 26th May.

Four people who have been closely involved with the four British islands in the South Atlantic met at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on 26th May. They were among those attending the service of dedication of the Order of the British Empire attended by HM the Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh

 

They four were Sukey Cameron MBE , Falkland Islands Government Representative in London; Andrew Bell OBE, former director of Curnow Shipping, the company which ran the RMS St. Helena for many years;  Bernard Pauncefort OBE, who was Administrator on Ascension Island during the Falklands War, then Government Secretary in Stanley before going to Tristan da Cuhna as Administrator, and David Taylor CBE, former Chief Executive of the Falkland Islands Government.
