Due to extremely bad weather around Tristan, the MV Edinburgh has just managed to discharge her cargo today the 13th July, after leaving Cape Town two weeks ago.

She arrived at Tristan last Wednesday evening, but due to a heavy swell running through the entrance of the harbour, the islanders have only operated boats/cargo today.  However, the passengers were lucky enough to get ashore on Monday, when they were taken off by the two rescue Ribs in the lee of the island.
