The M.V Edinburgh arrived at Tristan on Thursday 24th June after experiencing some bad weather two days out from Cape Town. The Edinburgh was three weeks later than planned due to having to wait until the Fisheries Department staff had complete their Inspection Training, and being in dry dock, at which time the South Africans decided to also go on strike.

All passengers were landed on Thursday 24th June, after what they called a bumpy ride. The Edinburgh was offloaded on Friday 25th -26th June and departed again for Cape Town.  Lucky for Captain Clarence, as the weather has not been suitable for unloading since the vessel departed.  The Edinburgh was due to arrive in Cape Town on Thursday 1st July.
