TRISTAN GOES FISHING: A PHOTO DIARY

From the Hard Copy of Tristan Times

The Gong went off at 0515 hrs. and the fishermen departed the harbour at first light.  They fished until 1430 hrs.

Marie Repetto is pictured here weighing the catch.

The Catch is then loaded on to a tractor for transport to the factory.

The men have to eat and this picture shows the women bringing their lunch.

After 1430 there were several fishing boats waiting to be offloaded.

This picture shows the catch being offloaded from the fishing boat to the tractor, ready to be weighed.

Donny Green, one of the factory workers, is surrounded by Tristan's Lobster catch.
