Tristan : A Beautiful Day on Tristan
Submitted by Tristan Times (Sarah Glass) 01.10.2008 (Article Archived on 15.10.2008)

In contrast to the very changeable weather (both before and after) the morning of Sunday, 21st September 2008 was the start of a glorious sunny day, in every sense of the term.
Because this was the day when baby Calvin Patrick Charles was to be baptized during the public mass in the Parish Church of St. Joseph's.

A Beautiful Day on Tristan

In contrast to the very changeable weather (both before and after) the morning of Sunday, 21st September 2008 was the start of a glorious sunny day, in every sense of the term. Because this was the day when baby Calvin Patrick Charles was to be baptized during the public mass in the Parish Church of St. Joseph's.

Baby Calvin (just four months old), his parents Desmond Green and Donna Rogers, Godparents Philip Rogers and Sasha Green together with a church full of family and friends participated in this happy occasion.

The scripture theme of the day was all about the unbounded generosity of God, and it had a particular relevance that morning to the gift of a new life – and a beautiful day on which to celebrate it.
