In recent years Tristanians have noticed snow and frost at lower altitudes.

Is Tristan's weather getting colder?

Tristanians have noticed colder winters and hotter summers, than in previous years with some of the elders commenting that they had not seen the snow/frost so low before.  

This picture shows the snow below 1,000ft, with the newly built Agriculture & Natural Resources Office (including the Conservation Office with yellow roof) in the front of the picture. 

Funds to build this new building were provided by the Overseas Territories Environment Programme (OTEP) in the UK.
