M/V EDINBURGH departed Tristan on 04 January 2006 and is expected in Cape Town on the morning of 10 January 2006.  She will return to Tristan with cargo, mail and passengers on the 13th of February 2006.  This, of course, depends on the weather and sea conditions.

The first vessel to arrive at Tristan da Cunha in the New-Year was the fishing vessel, ESPARDARTE.  She was laden with Tristan’s Christmas mail, however, the mail was not all for Tristanians.  Some of Tristan’s mail had been left off the vessel as well.  All non-Tristan mail will be returned on the next vessel.
