MINOR SEISMIC ACTIVITY TAKING PLACE ON TRISTAN

By J. Brock (TdC)

Tristan da Cunha is a volcano and the Island was created by volcanic activity.

James Glass from Tristan Times reports that over the past three days the Island has been experiencing minor tremors - enough to shake ornaments on people's shelves.  Further to this, he reports that there was a small land slide near the potato patches.  The Islanders attribute these tremors to the volcano settling and they do not report any concern about this.

Please watch this spot for further updates.
