Barry Swain age 26, died in a tragic accident on 2nd June 2012, when he was swept off his feet by a high swell and pulled into the sea when crossing the beach from Anchostock to the Caves

Obituary of Barry Swain

Barry Swain age 26, died in a tragic accident on 2nd June 2012, when he was swept off his feet by a high swell and pulled into the sea when crossing the beach from Anchostock to the Caves, on the West South West coast of the island. Search and rescue operations continued from the day of the accident until his body was found near Hackel Hill on Tuesday 5th June. Barry's funeral took place the following day on Wednesday 6th June.

 

Barry was born on the 7th December 1985 to Barney and Frances Swain, he was a friendly person always willing to help others, he worked as a plumber in the Electric and Plumbing Department and was a fishermen.

 

Our thoughts are with his partner Glenda, his son Lucus, his father and two brothers and the rest of their families at this difficult time.
