The RAF Gold Rover arrived at Tristan da Cunha on Sunday 16th December, she was carrying the necessary medical supplies to restock the islands only hospital, which had run out of certain medicines over the past few weeks. The Administrator had taken a number of precautions to slowdown the spread of the virus, although with the next vessel only arriving at Tristan with supplies around the 25th January 2008, he was not prepared to take any chances. The Police Rib collected the supplies and the vessel was on its way within an hour.
