St Mary's School Concert

The annual school concert finally manage to be shown on Friday 30th November, after being delayed by a number of fishing days, at which time the whole community was involved in some way or another.

The concert "Stable Manners" was witty and well accepted by all who attended, there was also a number of songs by various children such as "Something is happening tonight" "Beauty with a bell", "My wool is superb", "Simply the best", "Glory rap", "Sleep little Jesus", "Wonderful love", "We had to follow", and "Sorry", ending with the whole school singing "Celebrate this Christmas".

After the concert had ended the Administrator was asked to give a few words as it is island custom, where he congratulated the children and all those involved for making the evening special.   He also took the opportunity to speak to the community (young and old) about the financial situation the island was in and asked the community to speak to the island council about ways in which savings could be make as well as ways to generate more revenue.
