inONE revolutionises SME market with IT department in a box.
MPs, Lords and business chiefs on the 1st March in the Parliament of Westminster were introduced to a startling “office in a box” innovation.
53 dignitaries from 16 countries including many European and some from as far as US and Mexico all with a common aim to make the Internet a safer place to communicate and do business. Derek Wyatt MP and chairman of the All Party Group for the Internet emphasised the need for collaboration, whilst Paul Kane, chairman of inONE explained how steps are already being taken to eradicate viruses, porn and spam from our desktops and the home PC environment.
Paul Kane introduced the company’s all-in-one server. The inONE server, designed and manufactured in the UK, provides small and medium-sized companies with a complete and advanced network in just one box and at minimal cost. This "office in a box" comes complete with anti-virus, anti-porn and spam filters, making the business environment a safer place.
inONE today launched its ground-breaking product: a full-specification company network contained in a single box easy to use and cost saving.
Offering an email server, Internet server, workgroup server, firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-porn filters, secure remote access, and fully automated back-up in a single black box, the inONE server provides small and medium-sized businesses with everything they could wish for in a company network but at a fraction of the cost and requiring the bare minimum of technical assistance.
Smaller than a desktop printer, the inONE server can be set up and managed by any competent PC user. It will fit in with an existing network or act as its own network. Its myriad of functions are easily accessed and controlled through a Web browser, bringing high-end computing functions to even the smallest company.
And priced at just £958+VAT, with a three-level subscription plan, the inONE server offers extraordinary value for money, representing a huge cost-saving both in terms of software licences and maintenance on any comparable network.
"This is quite simply a dream come true for businesses that want an advanced company network but don’t have the time or resources to set it up," explained inONE chairman Paul Kane. "Everything you could possibly want in a single box and all you have to do is stick in a power lead and an Ethernet cable."
The inONE server provides five vital functions for companies: protection, recovery, security, sharing and collaboration.
Protection
By putting it at the gateway to the Internet, the inONE server provides immediate hacker, virus and spam protection. Individual PCs are invisible outside of the company network and constantly updated filters make the network impervious to attack.
Recovery
An automated system means that files can instantly be retrieved even in the event of catastrophic failure. Back-ups of PC hard disks are taken automatically and can be saved in multiple locations. Off-site and encrypted back-up is supported.
Security
inONE contains a firewall and a range of proxy servers that cache Internet resources, making Net surfing both safer and faster. It also includes a secure and encrypted virtual private network (VPN) so staff can gain access to the office system from anywhere in the world.
Sharing
Staff can share diaries, task lists and address books with anyone else on the network instantly, greatly increasing efficiency. An in-built Intranet allows people in the office, at home or in a branch office to access company information in seconds. Access to particular or sensitive documents can be carefully controlled.
Collaboration
Multiple email addresses can be directed to one account and automated responses sent if someone is not available. An encrypted instant messaging service means staff can swiftly and safely share information. A log can be kept of all email and Internet use.
The inONE server offers just that - everything thing you need, in one box. It has been designed and built in the UK using tried and tested hardware and following eight years of software development.
Developed as a whole, it moves today’s clumsy environment of multiple and sometimes incompatible solutions into a streamlined and co-ordinated approach to IT management.
Support, licensing and hourly updates are provided through three-level subscription, with optional extra functions also available.
Bronze subscription at £50 per month covers one to five users; Silver is for five to 100 users and costs £90 a month; Gold subscribers for 101 to 1000 users should contact inONE for an exact quote. An additional anti-virus/spam/porn option is available for an extra £10 per month; and a file, print, fax and back-up option also costs £10 per month.
Support comes from a team of over 50 engineers in the UK with a further 50 staff in Japan and the US. Telephone, forum and email support as well as an extensive user guide are all provided.
