We regret to advise that we received official notice that the MSC Athens will omit her first Cape Town call, she will now keep all Cape Town cargo onboard and discharge on her north-bound voyage around the 25th May.

MV Helena V.04 – Transhipment Cargo ex-UK 11 May, 2018 We regret to advise that we received official notice that the MSC Athens will omit her first Cape Town call, she will now keep all Cape Town cargo onboard and discharge on her north-bound voyage around the 25th May. Following consultation with St Helena Government, and due to the perishable cargo currently being loaded in Cape Town, the decision has been taken for the vessel to sail as scheduled. The 19 x UK transhipment containers will be retained in Cape Town and will be shipped on Voyage 05, arriving in St Helena on 20th June. We apologise for any inconvenience caused due to these circumstances which are beyond the control of AWSM. Investigation of measures to lessen the impact of the unacceptable decisions made by transhipment companies are in progress.
